Air India organises literary prog

JAMMU, Sept 30: The Air India Jammu today organised a literary programme featuring poetry recitation, debates and other literary activities as part of the Hindi Divas celebrations.
The programme was held under the chairmanship of Station Manager, Air India Jammu, Sanjiv Misri, while Padam Shree Jitender Udhampuri, and Dr. Amar Singh, Secretary, Regional Programme Implementation Committee, besides many other literary personalities were present on the occasion.
The employees of Air India participated in the programme with great enthusiasm and showed their literary skills.
In Poetry competition, Johnson Gill was declared first, Rajni Jandyal and Rikhi Ram were jointly declared second and J. S. Chouhan was declared third. Rikhi Ram received special prize for promoting and working in Hindi at Jammu Station.
In debate (Vaad-Vivaad) competition again Johnson Gill won first prize and J. S. Chouhan second and Kanika Sharma third respectively.
Dr. Jitender Udhampuri in his address threw lights on the role of Hindi Rajbhasha and its importance and acceptance in daily life.
Dr. Amar Singh also highlighted the importance of this day and stressed that Hindi is not a difficult language, but is very simple and easy to understand.

Sanjiv Misri informed the gathering that Johnson has already won three prizes in the Northern Region Air India Hindi Competition.
