JAMMU, Dec 3: All India Radio Jammu today organised the final episode of “Children’s Thematic Quiz – 2019” in KL Sehgal Hall, Jammu for its audience as part of the “Special Programming for Stations in J&K”.
Rakesh Dubey, Deputy Director Information was the chief guest and Arvinder Singh Aman was the guest of honour.
Dubey applauded the role of AIR Jammu in promoting youth of the region in such activities and appreciated the efforts of Akashvani Jammu for taking up the “Themetic Quiz” as a event.
Renu Raina, Program Head AIR Jammu delivered the formal welcome address and highlighted on the role of All India Radio Jammu in promoting educational programmes.
SK.Malhotra, Sr.Progr-amme Executive was also present on the occasion.
The participating schools which found place in the final were Govt. Boys Hr. Sec. School, Sunderbani, Shri Ranbir Hr. Sec. School, Jammu and St. Xavier Convent School, Jammu.
Aman Sharma and Abhishek Sharma from Govt. Boys Hr. Sec. School Sunderbani emerged as the winners in the finals while Pavitra and Arushi from St. Xavier Convent School remained 2nd and Piyush and Mohit from Shri Ranbir Hr. Sec School Jammu got the 3rd position.
The entire event was co-ordinated by Incharge of Children Programmes of Akashvani Jammu Anjana Badyal, Programme Executive who also presented vote of thanks.
Amit Gupta was the Quiz Master while Shruti Arora conducted the proceedings and Sukriti Khajuria as scorer.
