KOHLAPUR, Sep 25 : Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader, Amit Shah, on Wednesday visited Shree Mahalaxmi temple and offered prayers to presiding deity Karveer Nivasini Goddess Shree Mahalaxmi.
Shah, who arrived here this evening on a brief visit to address a meeting of district BJP office-bearers and workers, first visited Shree Mahalaxmi temple and performed ‘puja’ of the goddess.
The Western Maharashtra Devasthan Committee president and district collector Amol Yedge, secretary Shivraj Naikwadi and Mahadev Dinde welcomed and honoured Shah by giving a replica of Goddess Mahalaxmi.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, state BJP president Chandrashekhar Bavankule and others were present on this occasion. (UNI)
