JAMMU, Sept 20: In a unique initiative, Airtel today distributed 218 bicycles to the daughters of its rural distributors across Upper North, to empower the girl child and celebrate the freedom to move and choose their own destination.
The Upper North Circle of Airtel comprises of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir states. The cycles were distributed by Rajnish Verma, COO- J&K, Bharti Airtel, to the recipients in Jammu in presence of their family members.
The recipients -Bishali Devi (class 12th) from Jourian, Anshra Aziz (5th) from Mendhar, Maliha Husan (6th) from Mendhar, Rukia Shareef (3rd) from Ramban, Aiysha (5th) from Ramban, Tanvi (6th) from Reasi, Neevriti Thakur (5th) from Doda, Madiha Rasool (8th) from Nagrota and Azmat Bano (UKG) from Kishtwar, were elated on receiving the new cycles under the ‘Airtel ki Laadli’ initiative.
