JAMMU, Nov 24: An Airtel employee died of electric shock here today, officials said.
Bua Ditta (28) son of Yash Pal of Bhor Chattha was fixing some broadband connections at Gulshan Ground Jammu when he received electric shock around 5 PM today, resulting in severe injuries to the Airtel employee, they said.
He was taken to Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar Jammu from where he was referred to Government Medical College Jammu where he was declared as dead on arrival, officials said.
Police have shifted the body of the deceased to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting the post-mortem examination while as inquest proceedings have been initiated to further probe the matter.
