JAMMU, Jan 9: Senior BJP leader and former minister, Ajatshatru Singh on Monday inaugurated an art exhibition of son of soil, artist Mahesh Sharma at Rabindra Bhavan, Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi.
As per a statement, the former MLC appreciated the artist and hoped that more people from Jammu would come out and exhibit their talent outside the Union Territory.
It said that the art show-“Shades of Infinity”-was attended by prominent persons from the art fraternity including contemporary artist Naresh Kapuria, Dalip Hitkari, Naveen Kumar Jaggi, Qazi M Raghib.
Meanwhile, SS Sodhi, Chairman J&K Intellectual Society, the press statement said, announced at the exhibition formation of Jammu Art Foundation to help encourage and support young talent of Jammu.
“The exhibition ‘Shades of Infinity’ shall remain open for viewing till January 15,” it said.
The exhibition showcases around 50 paintings based on the magnificent landscape of Jammu region painted in contemporary style by the artists with spiritual hints.
