Ajatshatru Singh reviews functioning of Dharmarth Trust

Former Minister and Trustee Dharmarth Trust paying obeisance at Shri Ranbireshwar temple Jammu on Thursday.

JAMMU, Aug 20: A meeting of Council of the Dharmarth Trust was held here, today under the chairmanship of Ajatshatru Singh, former Minister and Trustee J&K Dharmarth Trust.
Ranvijay Singh, Trustee, Ajay Gandotra and YV Sharma, members of the Dharmarth Trust Council also participated in the meeting.
The president of the Trust, Mubarak Singh presented a detailed report of income and expenditure of various object heads of the Trust. It was highlighted that there has been a drastic decline of offerings and income from the different sources due to the ongoing pandemic of Coronavirus, yet, the Dharmarth Trust has managed to pay salaries to staff of the Trust deployed in temples and units across the J&K, out of its own resources. He apprised that as per the directions of the Government all the temples have been opened from August 16 and the mandatory precautions and SOPs related to pandemic prescribed by the Government are strictly being followed in all the temples.
The members of the Council during meeting and threadbare review of the functioning of the Trust suggested to take-up the matter with the higher-ups of the security and police to review the security protocol of the Raghunath Ji temple to extend hassle free entry to the devotees to temple including that of allowing mobile and electronic gadgets. They also stressed for taking various steps for providing better facilities to the visiting devotees and organizing of prayers and rituals in the temples.
While taking a detailed account of the Dharmarth Trust and management of the temples, the Trustee impressed upon all officers and functionaries to work with dedication and commitment and ensure to be courteous to the visiting devotees and facilitate them to pay obeisance and perform prayers and rituals.
The Trustees suggested for installation of signboards and signage across Jammu City particularly at Jammu Airport and Railway Station, Jammu, for indicating the locations of prominent temples for facilitation of devotees and tourists. It was instructed for preparation of brochures showing temples of Dharmarth Trust which would also boost up the religious tourism in the UT. It was emphasised that the necessary steps should be taken for beautification of all temples especially Raghunath Ji Temple and Shri Ranbireshwar Temple. Besides, provision of digital display of Aarti Pooja in the prominent temples for the devotees.
Dr Sat Pal, secretary, Varinder Singh Jamwal, additional secretary along with functionaries of the Trust were also present in the meeting.
