JAMMU, Nov 21: Member Legislative Council (MLC) and Trustee J&K Dharmarth Trust Ajatshatru Singh visited Shree Ranbir Sanskrit Mahavidalaya, Birpur, which is being managed and maintained by Dharmarth Trust.
He was received by students and teachers of the Vidyalaya. Singh went through every section of the school and took stock of working.
He also interacted with the students and the staff and enquired about their problems.
While talking to the students, Singh exhorted them to work hard to make their future bright. He also asked the staff to be dedicated and honest in performing their duty.
On the occasion, he donated some books to the school library besides sweets and other articles.
Later, Ajatshatru Singh went to religiously important place of Utterbehni including temples and other holy places which are maintained by the Dharmarth Trust. He offered pooja and reviewed the arrangements being made by Dharmarth Trust for the convenience of the devotees.
Singh asked the management of these holy places to leave no stone unturned in providing every facility to the devotees who have a great faith and belief as thousands of pilgrims come here to perform pooja.
Speaking on the occasion, Ajatshatru Singh said that these places have great pilgrim tourism potential and the Government should initiate efforts for the development of these holy places.
He said that the Dharmarth Trust is doing its best to provide various facilities to the devotees.
