REASI, Jan 29: The former minister and senior Congress leader Ajaz Ahmed Khan has demanded restoration of UPSC age relaxation clause which was given to the J&K students. He criticized the decision of Central Government to scrap the age relaxation clause to the Domicile of J&K.
Ajaz said, due to this unprecedented move of the Government, the youth of J&K were in a state of total disconcertment. “The original clause of age relaxation would have terminated on its own on 31st Dec 2026, so why would DOPT scrap it off all of a sudden, just a few years in advance?” he said.
The former minister appealed the Lieutenant Governor of J&K to take up this issue with the Central government and give relief to the youth of J&K.
