AJHLA demands immediate completion of Tawi Lake Project

JAMMU, Sept 12: All Jammu Hotels and Lodges Association (AJHLA) has demanded immediate completion of Tawi Lake Project keeping in view the ending rainy season.
A meeting of the association was held under the chairmanship of its president Inderjeet Khajuria, who while speaking drew the attention of line departments including Flood Control, JDA and Tourism to attend to the beautification of banks of Tawi River which should further be developed on the pattern of Artighat at Haridwar.
The project was to be completed by July end but delayed due to varied reasons, he added.
“Construction of proposed link road between Tawi Bridge Jewel to Bhagwati Nagar Yatra base camp along the right bank of Tawi River should be started to facilitate yatra traffic and to stop the encroachments.
Among others present were Pawan Gupta, Harbans Singh, Ajay Gupta, Bikram Singh, Sunil Suri, Baldev and ML Sharma.
