AJHLA expresses concern over delay in execution of tourism projects

JAMMU, Oct 29: All Jammu Hotels and Lodges Association (AJHLA) has expressed concern over the delay in execution of projects already sanctioned for promotion of tourist and trade industry in Jammu province.
Addressing the meeting, Inderjeet Khajuria, president, AJHLA blamed the Coalition Government for deliberately ignoring the interests of Jammu traders, hoteliers and other tourism related industry knowing that rail link to Katra coming up in the current will lead to 70 per cent loss to the business of hoteliers, traders and other tourist operators.
He said that until Jammu is made an independent tourist destination the tourism industry cannot regain its ground in Jammu and is bound to deteriorate further.
The only answer to the vexed problem is the completion and commissioning of the projects of artificial lake in Tawi river, Cable Car Gandola Project between Mubarak Mandi and Bahu Fort besides regaining glory of Mubarak Mandi Complex, he added.
The execution of all these projects has suffered delay due to the negligence of the Government, he alleged.
Among others present were Ajay Gupta, senior vice president, HS Manhas vice president, Pawan Gupta, general secretary, Baldev Raj, treasurer, Vikram Singh and Sunil Suri, secretaries.
