UDHAMPUR, Apr 6: A meeting of Udhampur unit of All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation, under the aegis of Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh, was held under the chairmanship of District president K L Gupta to discuss the problems being faced by the teaching fraternity in imparting quality education to the students at the far flung schools in the district.
All the members alleged that the CEO and the ZEOs of different zones attached the teachers/Masters in their respective offices on their own despite of clear instructions from the higher authorities. The Government from time to time issued instructions to the CEO/ZEOs to immediately detach the teaching staff from their respective offices but they did nothing till date to the reasons best known to them, they added.
The Federation observed that the poor and innocent students of these schools were suffering badly due to non-availability of the teachers and deficient teaching staff. Some of these schools are at the verge of closure as the parents are compelled to put their wards in other nearby schools .
These teachers have close internal settings with the concerned ZEOs/CEO and by fabricated conspiracy, many of these schools already have merged with other schools by showing zero enrollment/less enrollment, the Federation explained and further alleged that these blue eyed Teachers/Masters who are non-sincere towards their profession, were acting as super ZEOs/CEO and had been e taking decisions regarding transfers/attachments of teachers and also in other matters after managing settings and thus promoting unethical practices .
Few days back the Clerical Association Udhampur had also approached the CEO Udhampur on the issue and held protest against the illegal attachments but nothing was done till date .
“These teachers/Masters are degrading the image of the whole teaching fraternity, which is working wholeheartedly in the far-flung areas for the betterment of the Education,” AJKLTF said and urged the higher authorities to look into the matter personally to ensure immediate detachment of all the Teachers/Masters working in the ZEOs/CEO offices in the interest of education and society.
Those who were present in the meeting, included Ravi Kumar, Vijay Kumar, Dr Khem Raj, Vishal Sharma, Rakesh Sharma , Parkash Chand , Rajinder Kumar, ,Rakesh Kumar, Radha Krishan and others.
