UDHAMPUR, July 7: All Jammu and Kashmir Ladakh Teachers Federation (AJKLT) has urged upon the State Education authorities to extend grading of schools mechanism like district Doda in other areas of the State.
A meeting of the Federation, under the aegis of Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshak Mahasangh was held at Patnitop under the leadership of its State president Dev Raj Thakur and State general secretary Rattan Sharma, the other day wherein, the delegates from Udhampur, Ramban, Doda and Kishtwar strongly stressed for the grading of schools as was done by the District Administration Doda.
The purpose of the meeting was to receive suggestions for the improvement of New Education Policy, planning for future , schedule for forthcoming national level conference at Gujarat and presentation of charter of demands to the Prime Minister, HRD Minister and the J&K Governor.
During the meet, all the members lauded the effective mechanism adopted by DDC Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode for grading of schools. The different parameters considered for grading of schools such as face lifting of schools, live morning assemblies, cleanliness, punctuality and regularity among students and teachers, maintenance of official record, class room culture, serving of quality MDM, academic performance, proper conduction of class tests and unit tests and maintenance of record thereof, participation in co-curricular activities etc have been allotted 100 points.
The organisation is highly impressed by this fruitful and practical initiative of District Administration Doda under the guidance of DDC Doifode and Principal DIET Doda and also demanded to get it implemented in the whole State.
AJKLTF also discussed about the New Education Policy and also impressed upon the whole teaching fraternity to read carefully the draft of the new policy and submit suggestions to the HRD Ministry.
All the members who were present during the meeting included Rattan Sharma, Kartar Chand, Satya Bhusham Sharma, Neeraj Parihar, Arvind Sen, Mohan Singh Parihar, Sanjay Sharma, Rameshwar Singh, Sanjay Kumar, Parkash Chand , Manjeet Singh Ved Raj and others.
