JAMMU, Oct 17: All J&K Patwar Association (AJKPA), Jammu held a sit-in protest against recent inter-district transfers in the department.

A large number of patwaries drawn across various parts of the district under the banner of AJKPA, Jammu unit gathered here today and raised slogans against the Government for illegal transfers of patwaries in the department.
Speaking on the occasion, the leaders of AJKPA said that the Government Order Nos NG/224/2017 dated 11-10-2017 and NG/226/2017 dated 27-09-2017 are totally violation of J&K Civil Decentralization Act 2010 and CSR Rule of employee.
Condemning the inter-district transfers, the speakers said that the Government should immediately revoke these orders, as inter-district transfers have been banned by Government itself.
They warned of launching indefinite strike in case these illegal orders are not revoked by the Government. District president of the association, Kaleem Ahmed and other members of the district body were present in the protest.
