JAMMU, Oct 22: All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference (AJKPC), an organization dedicated to strengthening grassroots democracy in Jammu and Kashmir, has pledged its unwavering support to the Omar Abdullah-led government in its efforts to combat terrorism in the Union Territory.
Addressing a Press Conference here today, AJKPC president Anil Sharma emphasized, “The primary challenge facing the UT government is terrorism, and AJKPC assures its full support in addressing this critical issue. We stand united with the government and law enforcement agencies.”
Sharma expressed deep concern over the recent brutal terror attacks that have tragically claimed several lives and left many injured. He called for the provision of adequate ex-gratia- relief and compensation to the families of the victims.
Looking ahead, Sharma stated that AJKPC will later present additional political issues to the government. He expressed confidence that the Omar Abdullah led government would strive to ensure justice and development for all the regions and communities, regardless of their political affiliations. He welcomed the government’s commitment to equitable development opportunities for both the Kashmir and Jammu regions.
