AJKPC president donates his total honorarium for flood victims

JAMMU, Sept 20: In a bid to share the grief and sufferings of flood-affected people, All Jammu Kashmir Panchayat Conference (AJKPC) president and Sarpanch, Panchayat Halqa Jandrah Anil Sharma today donated his honorarium so far received from the State Government to the victims of natural calamity.
The AJKPC leader also made a fervent appeal to around 34,000 Panches and Sarpanchs of Jammu and Kashmir to donate generously besides collecting relief for flood-victims.
Sharma had received an amount of Rs 24,000 as honorarium from the State Government since his election as Sarpanch of Panchayat Halqa Jandrah.
He handed over the cheque of Rs 24,000 to the Deputy Commissioner Jammu Ajit Kumar Sahu for contributing in Red Cross Society as a donation towards flood victims in Dansal. Around 1,000 people from various villages were also present there.
Other senior officers of the district administration, including Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Tehsildar and Block Development Officer, Dansal were also present on the occasion.
