AJKTWA resolves dispute between two tempo unions at BC Road

JAMMU, Jan 3: All Jammu and Kashmir Transport Welfare Association (AJKTWA) today resolved a dispute between the two tempo unions at B C Road, Jammu.
Chairman of the AJKTWA, Karan Singh Wazir while talking to media persons after the joint meeting between the two unions at central body office at Warehouse here today, said that Central leadership managed to resolve the issue of a dispute arising due to parking between the two Tempo unions functioning at BC Road Jammu.
Singh said it was a long standing dispute between Jammu Maxi Cab and Special Taxi Operators Union BC Road, president Vijay Dogra and Jammu Tempo Travels Owners Union BC Road, president Kali Das Verma. The administration on the order of Tehsildar Jammu came into action with the help of DySP City and SHO Bus Stand that there should be no clash between two parties, this had halted the transportation work at the location and passengers were suffering due to inconvenience.
With the intervention of All J&K Transport Welfare Association, the issue was thoroughly discussed with the two presidents of the tempo unions and a final conclusion was brought into action by the Chairman of AJKTWA to resolve the dispute that had created law and order situation at BC Road. Later, compromise between the two presidents was reached. The two unions came forward with a decision to restart the operations at their individual stands smoothly and in peaceful manner without any disruption caused in the eco system of transport at BC Road.
With this compromise between the two unions, the sufferings of the passengers have been contained.
