JAMMU, Feb 14: Army and police today recovered arms from village Deri Dabsi on the Line of Control (LoC) in Mendhar tehsil of Poonch district.
SSP Poonch Rohit Baskotra said the recoveries include one AK rifle, two 9 mm pistols and 3 magazines
Reports said the joint teams of Army and Police conducted search operation along the LoC after developing specific input and recovered the consignment of arms.
After recoveries, searches were conducted in the area but no arrests were made.
It appeared that arms might have been kept along the LoC from across and had to be picked up by the Over Ground Workers (OGWs). However, they were seized by the security personnel before they could land into the hands of militants or their OGWs.
