JAMMU, July 22: Sahitya Akademi New Delhi organized Dogri poetry recitation programme under the web line literature series in which eminent litterateurs and poets of Dogri language participated.
The programme started with welcome address by Dr Suresh Babu, Deputy Secretary Sahitya Akademi.
Among senior poets who participated in the programme were T.R Magotra Sagar, Puran Chand Sharma, Dogra Harish Kaila, Amarjit Sharma, Hathalvi and Yashpal Yash.
At end of the programme Dr. Suresh Babu expressed gratitude to poets and litterateurs who participated in the programme.
He said, in this time of Corona pandemic when whole world is battling the pandemic Sahitya Akademy has to do all its programmes online following instructions by Government.
He expressed satisfaction that Sahitya Akademi has been successful in conducting various types of programmes in Dogri language with the help of Dogri Consultative Board and Convener Dogri language, Darshan Darshi.
He said that it is a matter of great pleasure that number of programmes in Dogri language has been good at Sahitya Akademi under the web line series.
He expressed hope that soon after the crisis, Akademi will carry forward its programmes sequentially and various writers and litterateurs of Dogri language will get opportunities to come on stage directly.
