AKDUF demands minority status for Pandits

JAMMU, Jan 22: All Kashmiri Displaced United Front (AKDUF) in its meeting here, today held under the chairmanship of P L Raina discussed various problems.
The meeting in an appeal to Relief Commissioner urged him to take cognizance of the short duration problems already discussed with him.
The meeting demanded minority status for the community as was done in case of Jain community. It said the exodus of 1990 has totally rendered the community helpless and the socio-economic status of the community stands fully exposed. It demanded benefits of Centrally sponsored schemes be given to community.
The meeting among others was addressed by S N Koul, Ashok Raina, Bittu Ji, Ashok Dhar, Rajesh Bhat, M K Bhat, B N Pandita, B N Bali, Raj Kumar, T K Raina, Ramesh Ji.
