JAMMU, May 7: On the first day of Akel Rang Utsav 2013, Nav Durga Kala Manch today staged a scintillating performance enacted by Dilshad Shazi as ‘Mukhbir’- the title of the play that gathered unprecedented response from the audience present at Performing Art Studio. The play was directed by Aaditya Bhanu.
The one act play work held the central core theme of a person who is charged with passing information to the enemies and is taken to task by various agencies including the Government also.
The play being very much relevant to the contemporary settings of the State where such issues are galore is a straight hit at the the system of governance where the Government agencies itself produce the undercover agents and after being tried and tested are left to be mauled by various agencies on different charges.
Dilshad Shazi who played the central character of the person charged for pursuing anti-national activities is grilled time and again and in the process is left reduced to mere a handful of skeleton only.
The story he narrates includes the incidents of his wife as well as the child beaten to death mercilessly and how hopelessly he is left to take the burden of his tethered life.
Dilshad Shazi impressed with his chiseled performance as audience gave him befitting applause for the show. The story was also written by Dilshad Shazi.
Umar Imtiyaz, a well known Director and producer of Kashmir was present on the occasion  as a chief guest. He  highly appreciated the efforts of the team especially Dilshad  who has choosen this topic and enacted the real pain of a common man residing in the terror.
Lights were handled by Ashish Bhat and Music was conducted by Sandeep Sharma, Make-up by Mohit Sharma and presentation was done by Shashi Bhushan.
Tomorrow Chhalava, a play on split personality would be performed by Dilshad Shazi at Same Venue.
