SAMBA, Apr 17: AKSN Hockey Club Jammu will to take on Hiranagar Hockey Club in the finals of the Young Heroes Memorial Hockey Tournament organised by Hiranagar Hockey Club under the aegis of Hockey J&K at Mini Stadium Hiranagar.
In the first semis, AKSN Hockey club Jammu outplayed Singh Club Bandu Rakh by a huge margin of four goals to zero (4-0).
Strikers from AKSN Club were Sartaj Singh, Amrinder Singh and Amarjeet Singh.
Amrinder Singh netted the goal in the 34th and 56th minute to power AKSN to make its way for the finals of the tournament.
In another semifinal match, Hiranagar Hockey Club routed Samba Hockey Club, by three goals to nil (3-0).
For Hiranagar Hockey Club, in the 13th minute of first half Sunny Kumar of Hiranagar Club netted the goal whereas in the 11th minute of second half, Rajinder singh scored a field goal and increased the score to 2-0.
Finally in 20th minute of the second half, Digvijay Singh scored the 3rd goal for his club and shattered all the hopes of their opponent to claim the match, thus making a room for his team to take on AKSN Hockey Club in the finals.
