JAMMU, Jan 12: Asha Kiran Welfare Society (AKWS) here today distributed ration items like rice, flour, pulses, sugar, salt, tea etc to 250 needy people comprising those from slum areas, widows and Safai Karamcharis of Mohalla Shri Anandpur, Shant Nagar, Kali Mata Mandir, Shivalik Puram and adjoining areas of Janipur in Ward 37.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. J.P Gupta, Society Chairman educated the gathering about safeguards from COVID-19.
He talked about the use of soap, sanitizer, masks, maintaining social distances etc.
Kamal Netar, AKWS general secretary; Hari Chand Sharma, joint secretary; Vinod Kumar, organization secretary; Ashok Kumar, cashier; Ram Saroop Sharma, senior executive member; Subash Dutta, Y.P Nanda, Sunil Vaid, Ramesh Lal and Bodh Ran were also present on the occasion.
