Alam-e-Hazrat Abass Alamdar AS procession taken out in Kargil

KARGIL, July 16: The Alam-e-Hazrat Abass Alamdar A.S. procession was taken out with profound reverence and solemnity in Kargil today.
Mourning processions, organized under the banners of Jamiat-ul-Ulama Isna Ashriya Kargil and Imam Khamenei Memorial Trust Kargil, proceeded through various locations including the Main Bazaar, culminating at Hussaini Park and Isna Ashriya Campus.
Participants chanted elegies and engaged in chest-beating rituals, commemorating the martyrdom of Hazrat Abbas Alamdar (AS) at the age of 32 in Karbala, as he courageously sought water for Imam Hussain’s companions.
Revered for his courage, patience, and unwavering loyalty, Hazrat Abbas Alamdar A.S. remains an icon of sacrifice.
Speakers at the processions underscored the profound philosophy of Karbala and Hazrat Abbas Alamdar’s exemplary role, urging the community to emulate these values for societal harmony and peace.

Various organizations, corporations, and volunteers established Shabeels (refreshment stalls) across the routes, offering water, juices, Qahwa, food, and fruits to mourners.
Notably, S B Singh from British Paints, a Sikh representative, joined in distributing Shabeel, emphasizing the importance of peace, love, and communal welfare.
The District Administration ensured seamless coordination, providing medical camps, ambulances, drinking water facilities, and prioritizing hygiene.
Imteeaz Kacho, Administrator of the Municipal Committee Kargil, initiated a commendable drive urging procession participants to carry garbage bags, significantly enhancing cleanliness during the event.
The procession not only paid homage to Hazrat Abbas Alamdar (AS) but also fostered unity and mutual respect within the community, reflecting the spirit of compassion and solidarity.
