JAMMU, Sept 14: A Hindi Book “Akankshaye”, written by Alka Sharma, was released today in the premises of J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Language Jammu.
The chief guest of the function was Padamshiri Dr Jitander Udhampuri and guest of honour was Dr Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary JKAACL. Dr Rattan Basotra and Yash Pal Nirmal were the special guests.
Dr Jitander Udhampuri praised the book, its poems and collection of Gazals. He said that it was wonderfully written and the poet has expressed herself in a beautiful way. He also read the Paper of this book and said “it doesn’t look that it is the debut book of Alka Sharma”.
Dr Basotra and Dr Yashpal Nirmal also wished the writer for future and expected more books from her in near future.
Other Dignitaries, who were present on the occasion, included Rita Khadyal from the Academy of Art, Culture and language, Roshan Bral, President Dogri Bhasha Academy Jammu and Ajay J Sharma, Vice President Dogri Bhasha Academy Jammu.
Roshan Bral was also stage secretary of the function and Ajay J Sharma presented the vote of thanks.
