RAJOURI, Mar 19: With the arrest of all the three accused wanted in a case of sacrilegious act, that took place six days ago at Chakli village of Rajouri, police claimed to have solved the case.
SSP Rajouri Mohd Aslam said that on March 12, a report of a sacrilegious act was received from Chakli village in Rajouri after which team of police from Chatyar- Chingus police post headed by Incharge Police Post, PSI Sahil Chowdhary reached the spot and later more teams were rushed from district headquarters due to sensitivity of the matter with officers including SHO Rajouri Fareed Ahmed, Deputy SP Headuarters Vinod Sharma. ASP Rajouri Vivek Shekhar also reached there and kept the situation under control.
Thereafter, a case FIR No. 92/2022 under section 295-A was registered at Police Station, Rajouri.
District Police Office, Rajouri in its statement further said that investigation of the case was conducted on speedy note on professional lines with all three accused found indulged in the act have been arrested. Further , investigation and legal formalities and proceedings into the matter are going on.
SSP further said that there is no space for anyone whosoever will try to disturb the peace by taking law in hands. The police is committed for strict action against those indulged in unlawful activities especially the one having potential to disturb the peaceful situation, SSP added.
