NEW DELHI, Aug 22: The Government today said in the Rajya Sabha that it will examine all aspects of the accident on the Navy submarine INS Sindhurakshak, including the sabotage angle.
“All aspects of the likely causes of the incident will be examined. Nothing is ruled out,” Defence Minister A K Antony said,
replying to clarifications on his August 19 statement on the incident of major fire onboard the submarine.
Mr Antony said the Board of Enquiry of the Navy, which was probing the incident, will submit its report at the earliest.
He said that the Navy was taking all steps to salvage the submarine at the earliest and find out the exact reason for the explosion on it.
“I assure you that the government will spare no effort to salvage the submarine at the earliest,” Mr Antony added. (UNI)
