JAMMU, Oct 6: Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association demanded release of arrested Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) leaders and revocation of ESMO against RTO employees and others.
A meeting of the association was held, which was chaired by Anil Kumar Mehta, Chairman and Ravi Singh Bhau, president.
While speaking, Mehta said that authority has not only misled the Finance Minister but also given wrong feedback regarding pay anomalies/disparity of the clerical cadre.
He said that clerical staff has been demanding the removal of pay anomalies/disparity arisen in the 5th Pay Commission rather in 6th Pay Commission. He said that while upgrading the pay scale of teachers, patwaries, statistical officers, senior scale stenographers, section officers, etc, Government is discriminating with the junior assistants, senior assistants, steno typists, junior statistical assistants, head assistants, junior stenographers and statistical assistants after the implementation of the 5th Pay Commission.
He said that after the genuine demands raised by the clerical cadre, Government constituted the Pay Anomaly Committee, headed by Principal Secretary Finance, who has already submitted its recommendation to the Cabinet-Sub-Committee headed by Finance Minister.
“Clerical cadre has been expecting early issuance of formal orders as per recommendation made by the committee, but it is unfortunate that the Government has evoked ESMO”, he added.
The association urged the Chief Minister to intervene in the matter and redress the issues at the earliest.
Among others present were Yash Pal Sharma, Jaideep Singh, Hamid Hussain, Ravinder Singh, Kuldeep Kotwal, JR Sagar, Brijesh Mehta, Onkar Chand, Ravi Razdan, etc.
