JAMMU, June 24: Minister of State with PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh today said that all kinds of refugees in the State including West Pak refugees, PoJK refugees and Kashmiri migrants will be given fair deal.
Addressing a felicitation function which was organized by Duggar Vikas Manch to honour him ( Dr Singh) and MP from Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat Jugal Kishore Sharma here this afternoon, the Union Minister said Government led by Narendra Modi is committed to settle the problems of refugees in the State once for all.
Dr Singh urged upon the leaders of various organizations who were present in the meeting that instead of submitting memorandums they should come out with written developmental proposals before the elected representatives so that the same could be pursued.
He stressed on preparation of written project reports for the development of Bani Basohli, Doda -Bhadarwah and HP Tourist circuits so that the same can be pursued vigorously for overall development of the State and boosting the economy of the people in the remote areas.
Dr Singh said the work on PM’s Sadak Yojna will be expedited in those areas where it has not progressed and a bridge will be constructed in Gangyal area.
The Union Minister said that new avenues for the employment generation will be created in the State and it this connection a new concept of placements has been started by holding the Rozgar mela at district headquarters and first such fair will be held at Kathua district.
He said hiking of emoluments of SPOs has been accepted in principle while 100 ambulances will be pressed in State for services of the people with special number.
He said the Jammu city is fittest case for metro railway and announced that Central University campus will be set up at Ladakh. The issue has already been discussed with HRD Ministry, he added.
He said the KV will be established in Doda as it is the only district Headquarter which does not have a KV in the State.
Dr Singh said it is the people of the State who deserve to be honoured and not MPs for victory of BJP. “The real credit of the party’s victory goes to people and not the candidates”, he added.
Addressing the function Jugal Kishore Sharma said BJP created a history by winning three seas in the State and people have high hopes from the party. He assured them that BJP will come to the expectations of the masses and its representatives from the State will take the public issues in the Parliament.
Earlier Duggar Vikas Manch president Dineshwar Singh Jamwal highlighted the demands of the people and submitted a 12 point charter of demands to Dr Singh.
The memorandum, stressed on creating avenues to boost Jammu trade, four lanning of Akhnoor road in view of frequent traffic conjunction and accidents on this busy road, boosting of tourism in Jammu region, creation of employment avenues for the youth etc.
The function was also attended by heads of various organizations of Jammu and they were also felicitated on the occasion by Dr Singh and Mr Sharma.
