JAMMU, July 9: Former State president BJP and Ex-MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma (CA) along with corporator Ward 26, Hardeep Singh Mankotia and district president, Munish Khajuria started developmental works in Subash Nagar area of Ward 26 and construction of lane number 14 and adjoining lanes. Local residents and political activists of the area were also present on the occasion. During his visit he interacted with many people and listened to their grievances as well.
The works will be constructed under the supervision of JMC at an estimated cost of Rs 15.50 lakhs and the funds were allotted to the corporator from (Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC).
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that construction of these lanes was a long pending demand of the residents of Subash Nagar and that demand has been fulfilled with the efforts of the corporator of the Ward. Sharma highlighted the major works taken up in the constituency in the past five years.
He said that Jammu West constituency is near to achieve the status of a Model constituency. He mentioned that more projects are in the pipeline and will be executed in a time bound manner. He said there were so many pending demands in the constituency which were completed during his tenure as MLA and grievances were also solved from time to time in order to avoid public distress. He asked JMC officers to complete the ongoing works in other Wards as well at the earliest ensuring good quality.
Munish Khajuria stated that people were facing lots of distress in the area as the lanes were torn out and due to the untiring efforts of former MLA, the works for construction of lanes are also in progress which will give a major relief to inhabitants. He assured the residents that all their genuine demands would be looked into on priority.
Hardeep Singh stated the development done in the Constituency by former MLA has satisfied lakhs of inhabitants and every basic amenity to next level infra has been provided to the locals in order to give every possible facility to the residents at their doorsteps and the pace of development will be increased in coming times.
