JAMMU, Mar 10: Allahabad Bank, one of the leading nationalised banks of the country today opened its new fully computerised (CBS) branch at Bari Brahmana near Jammu under its Amritsar zonal office.
The branch was inaugurated by Ramesh Chand, General Manager of the Reserve Bank of India, Jammu. DK Kapoor, Deputy General Manager and Zonal Head, Amritsar Zone and SK Saha, Assistant General Manager Jammu ( Bahu Plaza) were present on the occasion.
The branch at Bari Brahmana is 9th business unit in Jammu & Kashmir and 70th branch under Amritsar Zone.
Speaking on the occasion DGM, Mr Kapoor said, “We welcome our new clients to Allahabad Bank family and look forward to serve them.” He further added that a team of dedicated professionals will thrive to provide modern banking facilities to all its customers, particularly the young generation customers inclined towards the technology based services. Further, he said that performance, quality and reliability are our number one priority to develop a long term relationship with our customers.
Mr Saha said that opening of the branch is in tune with the Bank’s policy to increase the overall business. The Bank is focusing to increase credit flow to the priority sector and SME sector. He added that improved customer service through technology upgradation, introducing teller-made products is the priority of the Bank to meet the emerging needs of the customers.
In his address, General Manager RBI praised the CD ratio of 62% of Allahabad Bank and good customer service provided by the Bank in the State of Jammu and Kashmir. He advised all RBI guidelines should be followed while operating the branch.
