KOTA, May 3: Students of ALLEN Career Institute have once again made a mark in JEE Main-2018 as the Institute has 2 students in Top 10 in the result of the country’s most prestigious engineering entrance examination by CBSE, released on Monday.
According to the Director Brajesh Maheshwari, the students of the ALLEN Career Institute have yet again proved their supremacy by securing top ranks in JEE Main 2018. ALLEN’s classroom student Parth Laturia has obtained 3rd rank at All-India level with 350 marks. Along with that, student Bhaskar Gupta scored 345 marks and secured 7th place at the National level.
Along with this Navneel Singhal has secured AIR-11, Ayush Garg secured AIR-12, AIR-13 is bagged by Lay Jain, AIR-16 by Karan Agarwalla and AIR-19 by Yash Gupta. 24 students of Allen Career Institute are in Top 100.
Maheshwari said that results are still being calculated and a large number of students will qualify for JEE-Advanced. For the top 2 lakh 31 thousand and 24 students selected this year, the general category cut-offs are 74 marks,45 marks for OBC,29 for SC and 24 for ST, whereas the cut-offs for Physically handicapped students was just-35 mark.
Maheshwari said the application process for JEE- advanced has started from 2nd of May. On the basis of score of JEE-Main examination, 2 lakh 24 thousand students will be declared qualified for JEE-Advanced examination. Through the country’s largest engineering entrance examination JEE-Main, admission will be done for 31 NITs, 21 IIIT and 20 GFTI, with about 26 thousand seats.
On April 8, 10 lakh 43 thousand and 739 students gave the offline exam. Along with this, on April 15 and 16, more than one lakh students gave the exam in online mode. The offline exam was conducted in about 112 cities in India and abroad, whereas the online exam was conducted on April 15-16 in 258 cities in India and abroad.
