NEW DELHI, Jan 14: Almond prices rose by Rs 100 per 40 kg in the national capital today largely on the back of increased offtake by retailers and stockists driven by winter season demand.
Besides, fall in supplies from overseas markets supported the uptrend.
Almond (California) prices were up by Rs 100 to Rs 17,300-17,500 per 40 kg and its kernel rates also rose higher by Rs 5 to Rs 610-620 per kg.
Marketmen said increased offtake by retailers and stockists due to seasonal demand amid fall in supplies from overseas markets, mainly pushed up almond prices at the dry fruit market here.

Almond (California) Rs 17,300-17,500, Almond(Gurbandi-new) Rs 12,100-12,300, Almond (Girdhi) Rs 5,700-5,800; Abjosh Afghani Rs 8,000-23,000.
Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 610-620 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 725-825 per kg. (PTI)
