NEW DELHI, Aug 24: Almond prices hardened by Rs 200 per 40 kg in wholesale dryfruit markets today on restricted supply amid pick up in demand.
Its kernel prices also gained Rs 5 per kg on better offtake.
Marketmen said fall in supply from overseas markets amid better offtake due to ongoing festive season mainly pushed up almond and its kernel prices.
Almond California spurted by Rs 200 to Rs 16900 per 40 kg pack. Its kernel prices gained from Rs 585-605 to Rs 390-610 per kg.

Almond (California) Rs 16,900 Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 8,100-8,500; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 4,800-5,300; Abjosh Afghani Rs 8,000-20,000.
Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 590-610 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 500-540 per kg. (PTI)
