JAMMU, Dec 21: A delegation of All Ladakh Student Association Jammu (ALSAJ), led by its President Lobzang Norboo, met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here today.
The delegation thanked Governor for giving a full fledged University for Ladakh and extended an invitation to him for its upcoming annual Losar Cultural Programme scheduled to be organised on December 30.
Governor urged the members of the delegation to work hard and contribute constructively in building a peaceful and progressive society. He wished them, bright future ahead.
A delegation of J&K Reserved Categories Empowerment Alliance led by its President Sanjay Kumar Bhasin also met Governor.
The delegation requested Governor for restoration of the Constitutional provision of reservation in promotions for the reserved categories of J&K; appointment of a person belonging to SC category as a Member of J&K PSC; provision of 27 % reservation for OBCs; appointment of SC/ST person as an Advisor to Governor; nomination of Commissioner Secretary belonging to SC/ST category in the ‘Committee’ constituted for addressing Grievances of Government employees.
Governor assured the delegation due consideration of its demands.
