Altaf Bukhari reviews implementation of Baramulla DDB decisions

BARAMULLA, June 10: Minister for Education, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, today chaired a review meeting to take stock of the implementation of various decisions taken during last Baramulla District Development Board meeting.
Pledging to restore the district’s pristine glory, the Minister said that various measures are afoot to augment the existing infrastructure in view of the necessities created by the population expansion in the district.
Minister for Horticulture Syed Basharat Bukhari, Legislators Javed Hassan Beigh, Mohammad Abbas Wani, Abdul Rasheed Dar, Ghulam Nabi Monga, District Development Commissioner Dr. Nasir Naqash and Heads of various Departments besides sectoral officers were present in the meeting.
The meeting took a comprehensive review of the progress made in various developmental projects and decisions of the last Board meeting and took stock of sectoral, physical and financial achievements registered, so far, under the District Plan 2017-18 and stressed for timely completion of ongoing works in the district.
District Development Commissioner Baramulla briefed the meeting about various developmental activities which are currently at various stages of completion.
Addressing the meeting, Altaf Bukhari, who is Chairman Baramulla DDB, directed the district administration to put in their best for realizing the goals and targets envisaged in annual plan so as to ensure maximum benefits to the people.
The legislators representing different constituencies of the district raised various demands and issues of public interest concerning their respective constituencies and demanded their immediate redressal. The Chairman DDB assured that their demands will be looked into and necessary steps would be taken to address them on priority.
Meanwhile, DDC Baramulla was given directions to take regular field visit of various developmental project sites to take first hand inspection of these projects for their time-bound and effective execution.
