NEW DELHI, July 30: Aluminium prices edged up 0.32 per cent to Rs 141.65 per kg in futures market today as speculators built positions, taking positive cues from the spot market on pick up in demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in July edged higher by 45 paise, or 0.32 per cent, to Rs 141.65 per kg in a business turnover of 42 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in July contracts edged higher by 40 paise, or 0.28 per cent, to Rs 140.85 per kg in 391 lots.
Analysts said widening of positions by participants due to uptick in demand from consuming industries in the physical market, led to rise in aluminium prices in futures trade. (PTI)
