JAMMU, Jan 28: Northern Railways and Amandeep Group of Hospitals jointly gave a gift of First Aid services to the Rail Passengers by starting a First Aid Room at Platform No 1 of Railway Station Amritsar.
The First Aid Room was inaugurated today by N K Verma, Assistant Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM), Dr Ashok Sahni (ACMS), Amrit Singh (Station Director) of Northern Railways jointly with Dr Avtar Singh (Director of the Hospital and Chief Joint Replacement Surgeon), Dr Amandeep Kaur (CEO), Dr Kanwarjeet Singh (Medical Director), Dr Shahbaz Singh (GM) and Dr Anupreet Kaur (Consultant Pathology) of Amandeep Group of Hospitals.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ashok Sahni said that this is the most precious gift that Railways could give to Rail passengers and this was awaited since long.
Dr Avtar Singh told that entire credit goes to the untiring efforts of Dr Ashok Sahni and Atul Sharma (Head Corporate Marketing) to give a practical shape to this noble cause of providing First Aid facilities to Rail passengers through this First Aid Room.
Dr Shahbaz Singh (GM, Amandeep Medicity) told that basic First Aid facilities will be available 24X7 in Amandeep First-Aid Room at Railway Station, Amritsar while N K Verma told that First Aid is very important at the time of need, if given timely it can save the precious life of Train Passengers.
Dr Amandeep Kaur told that location of this First Aid Room is so good that it is very easy for train passengers to approach this room and avail First Aid services, at the time of need.
The whole team of Northern Railway employees and employees of Amandeep Group of Hospitals were present along with Sachin Chadha (DGM, Amandeep Group).
