JAMMU, Apr 28: Amar Colony, Bantalab particularly the area adjoining Vivekanand School is facing water scarcity since March 10.
The residents said unfortunately the water supply has not been restored to the locality till the day. The people of area face difficulties in bringing the water from far-flung areas. They made an appeal to P.H.E authorities for looking into matter and restoration of the water supply immediately. They alleged that PHE Department is supplying tanker water to some influential families while others are facing the problem.
The private water tankers are charging high rates for supply of water which the common man can’t afford. They urged the Department to intervene and restore the water supply to the area at an earliest.
