Amar Mahal Museum organizes painting camp

JAMMU, Feb 27: Amar Mahal Museum and Library has organized a camp with demonstration and display of Kangra and Basohli miniature painting style.
Anil Kumar Raina, Sushil Kumar and Deepak Bhandhari from Kangra, Himachal Pradesh and Sohan Billawaria from Basohli Jammu, were the painters in the workshop. They interacted with the visitors to the Museum.
An exhibition and sale of paintings in Pahari miniature style will be inaugurated by the well known restorer and philanthropist, Lady Helen Hamlyan. Accompanied by Prof B N Goswamy, a world authority on miniature painting styles and Shobita Punja, former CEO of the National Culture Fund, Lady Helen is visiting Jammu.
A collection of photographs from the Museum Archives has been newly displayed at the entrance hall.
