Jammu, May 7: On the eve of Akshay Tritiya festival, 5th Amarnath Yatra Bhandara calendar was released here today.
Renowned Seer Mahaprabhu Chaitanya Puri Ji Maharaj of Rajasthan was the chief guest on this occasion while Mahant Narinder Dass Ji Maharaj of Panch Ramanandi Nirwani Akhara Sidh Shri Hanuman Dham, Swami Phool Kumar Shastri Ji, Mahant Sitaram Ji Maharaj, Subash Shastri and Bupinder Shastri were the guests of honour.
The function started with the recitation of Vedic hymns and this was followed by the sermons by Swami Chaitanya Puri Ji Maharaj.
Speaking on the occasion Mahant Narinder Dass Ji said such events helps in creating a sense of responsibility amongst children towards the society.
All the saints hailed the idea of Akhil Bhartiya Dharam Prachar Sewa Samiti for arranging Bhandara for Amarnath Yatries and added that release of calendar is really a great step towards the service of Yatries.
National Coordinator of Samiti, Sunil Sharma, informed that Dogra culture has the philosophy of ‘Athithi Devo Bhava’ (guest is equivalent to God) and such efforts by the Samiti will go a long way in forging unity and the spirit of social service in the society.
Among others present on the occasion were Ramesh Sharma, Ajay Kumar, Govind Kumar, Rajesh Verma, Parshotam Sharma etc.
