Ambardar calls on CS, discusses problems of displaced people

JAMMU, Mar 1:BJP MLC Surinder Ambardar today called on Chief Secretary  B .R Sharma and  had a detailed  meeting with him pertaining to the pending issues of displaced community and sought their immediate redressal.
He discussed the progress of the Shivratri  preparation being made by the administration for the displaced community and strongly stressed on the need to have  supply of ration, sugar, Lotus Stem (Nadroo),Walnuts and all other items be made available before March 6 at all the camps and non camp areas wherever the displaced community is  living so that KPs can celebrate the religious festival of Maha Shivratri without any hassle .He also demanded that the relief of all the relief holders be deposited in their account before March 6.
During the meeting MLC took up the issues of pending list of candidates community youth who had applied for different posts in Valley under the PM package and sought the timely and prompt action on the same.
Mr Ambardar further added that he has been persistently and consistently pursuing the case of these unemployed youth of the displaced community and it is high time that their selection list ( remaining 1554 posts and of pending 221 candidates ) should be issued immediately without further delay and the notification for the additional 3000 posts should also be issued so that the form filling process is started at the earliest
Ambardar also sought the intervention of CS in making sure that all the PM package employees working in Valley , who had come to Jammu for Winter vacations should be given leniency or be granted leave as they might have to stay back for the Shivratri festival  before they join their duties.
He also took up the issue of renovation of Jagti and other camps and stated that despite the tenders for same being floated some months back still the work has not been started.
