JAMMU, July 24: Ambika Samnotra was today installed as new president of Inner Wheel Club (IWC), New Gen Jammu, in a function organized, here today.
The chief guest on the occasion was Dr Santosh Gupta. She was welcomed by the outgoing president Anita Goel and others by presenting a bouquet and also spoke few words in her honour.
Dr Santosh Gupta entrusted the responsibility of new president to Ambika Samnotra, secretary to Manpreet Kour, editor to Ritu Sharma, ISO to Anu Gupta and treasurer to Mridula Dubey to undertake the activities of the Club in new fiscal.
The Chief Guest elaborated in her opening remarks the role and responsibilities of such clubs, who play a vital role in upliftment of downtrodden families and society at large at the time of need. She also complimented the new members of the Club to work in unison in achievement of its designed roles.
After the installation ceremony, the needy families were provided with the kits comprising of food items etc by the newly elected members of the Club.
The function concluded with vote of thanks presented by Gurbir Kour.
