AMCCC demands RBA, Minority status for displaced Pandtis

JAMMU, Dec 30: All Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AMCCC) in its meeting here, today held under the chairmanship of Desh Rattan in which various problems of displaced people were discussed.
The meeting demanded RBA, Minority and Internally Displaced status with restoration of basic rights to Pandits.
The meeting demanded that the Pandits be allowed to take part in Panchayt and local bodies elections by creating separate wards in Jagti and other camps, besides political reservation be given to community, release of balance ex-gratia for gutted houses and properties, KPs be made main party to Kashmir issue, constitution of Commission of Inquiry into mass exodus of KPs, restoration of land illegally occupied besides release of compensation for losses suffered in the shape of property, paying of Rs 50 lakh as compensation to each displaced family and reservation in governemtn jobs and professional colleges.
The meeting also warned that AMCCC will hold a protest at Jantar Manter New Delhi next month in support of the demands.
