JAMMU, Feb 25: All Migrant Camp Coordination Committee  (AMCCC) in its meeting here, today held under the chairmanship of Desh Rattan demanded that the problems of displaced people piling up for last over 25 years be settled once for all.
The meeting demanded enhancement of cash assistance as announced by the Union Government earlier. It stressed on one place settlement of displaced Pandits within Valley, removal of all encroachments from KPs land and religious places, passage of Shrines Bill, representation to the community in legislative bodies as well as in Council of Ministers, implementation of job package announced by the then Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh in 2007, reservation of posts for KPs in Central government and PSUs and launching of special recruitment drive in police and para military forces for the community youth.
The meeting also took strong exception to the anti KP statements by certain politicians and vested elements from Valley and demanded action against them.
The AMCCC said that these leaders were misleading the people of Kashmir for their vested interests.
