JAMMU, Nov 19: All Migrants Camp Coordination Committee (AMCCC) in a meeting has expressed total solidarity with the bold initiative of the Government of India in demonetization of currency notes of Rs 500/- and Rs1000/.
In a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi AMCCC said “We express our total solidarity with your efforts to cleanse the system of Corruption,. Though Tax evasion has been plugged in many countries in the world but in our country it was rampant & received support from the political system which is evident from the hue and cry raised by opposition parties over the issue”, it added.
The letter said the Central Government had many years back taken steps to curb the black money in Kashmir in early 80’s. Then many business houses were raided in Srinagar & other parts of the Valley but the efforts failed. “But we pray for your success in this gigantic task”, it added.
“We however request you to take a similar strong initiative for special operation to the properties of government servants holding prize posts. The illegal property which is being dumped by these officers / officials needs to be disclosed so that Dhood ka Dhood & Pani ka Pani would come out.
The letter further said that there are so many people who have looted the country since 1947 & have made themselves richest and have established their business units in so many countries of the world. Those leaders who are crying nowadays show that these are directly involved in black money scandals.
The letter said the common people of the country are always with all the bold initiatives taken by Prime Minister and we hope that your government will take another such bold initiative in rehabilitation of displaced people in Kashmir Valley.
