Amid persistent threats, SSP Jammu asks border residents to remain vigilant

JAMMU, July 24: Amid rising terrorist incidents in the region, the SSP Jammu, Dr Vinod Kumar has asked the border residents to remain extra vigilant.
While holding series of meetings with border dwellers and weapon license holders in Gajansoo, Kirpalpur, and Sandwan area of Domana Sub-Division, the SSP Jammu asked the locals to monitor the activities of the outsiders and report the same to police as soon as possible.
The meetings aimed at bolstering the community awareness and involvement in regional security amidst ongoing threats were attended by SP Rural Jammu, Brijesh Sharma, SDPO Domana, Mudasser Hussain, SHO Kanachak, SHO Domana, incharge Police Post Pounichak, incharge Border Police Post Sandwan, incharge Border Police Post Gajansoo, incharge Border Police Post Kirpalpur, and other officials.
Residents from border villages participated actively in the meetings, receiving briefing on the current situation and the persistent terrorist threats in the Jammu Zone.
Addressing the border residents, SSP Jammu, Dr Vinod Kumar emphasized the importance of reporting any suspicious individuals or activities to the police immediately to help prevent potential incidents.
He also urged the locals to monitor the activities of the outsiders visiting borders area and to be vigilant about early morning vehicle movements carrying milk and vegetables into the city.
The SSP Jammu asked the border residents to report any unusual or suspicious activities promptly to the nearest police station or post to avert any adverse incidents.
