NEW DELHI, Feb 24: Amit Sharma, Regional Director, Survey & Land Records (Ex-Officio Settlement Officer) Udhampur/Reasi today presented a strong case for opening good quality International Boarding Schools in all the regions-Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh in J&K during 6th School Leadership Summit held here today. The CEOs and heads of top schools of the country participated in the Summit.
The Summit went on whole day in which Amit Sharma led from the front in one of the key panel discussions on “Future of Boarding/International Schools in India-Plans & Challenges” which included Neeta Bali, Director-Principal, GD Goenka School Gurgaon, Sunita Jai Singh, National Academic Head, Global Indian International School, Dr Sanjay Kumar Mishra, Deputy Head, Kasiga School Dehradun and Dr Onika Mehrotra, Kalka Group of Institutions.
Mr Sharma also shared his views regarding ample scope in J&K for opening of Professional and International Boarding schools which suit the demographics of the state as well which was well taken by the CEOs of top school chains.
Amit specifically enlisted the advantages, merits and business potential of opening such schools here and the exposure and cross-cultural exchange opportunities which are created due to top schools in a state.
He also emphasized that top private sector chains should take a lead in adopting struggling schools in rural areas of the nation to increase the penetration of quality education in formative years which was widely hailed and appreciated across the board in the Conference.
At the culmination, all the speakers were awarded included RD, S&LR Amit Sharma for excellent contributions in making 6th National School Leadership Summit a grand success with a resolve to organize such similar summits in small cities in times to come.
