Amit empanelled to IGP rank

JAMMU, Jan 5: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the empanelment of four AGMUT Cadre Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, including Amit Kumar from the erstwhile J&K cadre, to hold the rank of Inspector General of Police (IGP) at the Centre.

Amit Kumar, a 2006 batch IPS officer, has previously served in Jammu and Kashmir, holding key positions during his tenure and he is currently on a Central deputation.
The other officers empaneled are Pushpendra Kumar, Vikramjit Singh and Jatin Narwal, all from the 2006 batch.
