LEH, Dec 21: For the establishment of an electronic manufacturing cluster in Leh, a significant meeting was held here today. The meeting was chaired by Administrative Secretary of Information Technology, UT Ladakh, Amit Sharma.
During the meeting, a comprehensive virtual presentation was provided by the Consultant Agency before IT Secretary Amit Sharma and his team. The presentation covered important aspects such as infrastructure, technology and the overall vision for the Project.
Secretary IT Ladakh Amit Sharma emphasizing the strategic importance of the initiative, articulated the need for the seamless functioning of the electronic manufacturing unit in UT Ladakh.
He underscored the role, this initiative would play, in advancing the region’s technological capabilities and creating a robust ecosystem for innovation.
The Secretary also called upon the Consultant Agency to propose a detailed timeline for the setup of the electronic manufacturing cluster in Ladakh and highlighted the significance of adhering to a structured timeline to ensure the project’s timely implementation and success.
As UT Ladakh takes strides towards a tech-centric future, the initiative is poised to contribute significantly to the region’s overall development and position it as a frontrunner in the realm of electronic manufacturing, Sharma added.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Secretary of IT, UT Ladakh Abdul Majid Tantary, Under Secretary of RDD, UT Ladakh Mohit Sharma, IT Managers of the department, IT Consultants of the department and other concerned officers of the Information Technology Department.
